About us
Scouts
The Scout Troop is made up of of boys and girls 11 to 14 years old. The Scouts meet at The Boat House in Bath Square, Old Portsmouth on a Friday evening from 1830-2000hrs during the winter months and 1800-2100hrs during the summer to make the most of the lighter evenings and warmer weather.
Explorers
In 2004 it was decided that 14 to 18 year olds would go into their own sections called Explorers. The idea being that instead of being with just one unit they would be free to move around and try out the different activities that are on offer with the other various groups.
Cubs
The Cubs are the youngest element here at the 1st Portsmouth and is made up of boys and girls 8 to 10 years old. The Cubs meet at Cathedral House in Old Portsmouth on a Wednesday evening from 1815-1945hrs.
Our Boats
Our group proudly boast a number of boats that we own.We have 4 Pico sailing dinghies which are fun to sail and are virtually indestructible. They are ideal to learn to sail in and are very good for capsize drill. We gained these after a successful appeal to the National Lottery in 2003. We also own 3 Ribs.
